GENESIS OF THE PROJECT

Foster is the ambitious project of a family of Belgian entrepreneurs, passionate about the land, authenticity, and conviviality. Louis du Bois's vision is to create an ethical and sustainable ecosystem in Wallonia that brings together the trades of the land, the trades of the table, and intellectual professions..

After extensive renovations, the place known as Terfosse is reborn and becomes Foster, a gathering destination for everyone that offers  :
- access to agricultural land for market gardeners
- a place for artisans to develop their skills
- a collaborative space for entrepreneurs
- a restaurant that enhances the seasonal local flavours

Ideally located in Rosières, 15 km from Brussels and 15 km from Wavre and Louvain-la-Neuve, close to major roadways but situated in the heart of nature.

A PLACE FOR CATERING ARTISANS

We support and develop artisanal projects that promote the pleasures of the table, good eating, and sustainability.

Various workshop spaces are available to host artisans who share our values. Food-related trades and table arts are particularly suited to the venue.

Foster has production, storage, supply, and even counter spaces to offer products for sale to customers.

Foster organises annual meetings for table artisans around Family Days, Open Days, Breakfasts, or Afterworks open to all.

You too wish to be included in the list of Foster's Artisans of the Month ?

A PLACE FOR CULTIVATORS

We support and develop agricultural projects that highlight seasonal products and aim for a reasoned and sustainable agriculture.

Foster is divided into several cultivation spaces rented out to local producers who, through their work, provide the values that are ours.

Ideally facing due south and sheltered from the winds, the lands of Foster allow for the cultivation of vegetables, fruits, seeds, forgotten grains, edible flowers, etc..

Various market gardening spaces have been prepared for several years to welcome enthusiasts interested in experimenting with new crops or returning to ancestral techniques.

A PLACE TO EAT IN THE MIDDLE OF NATURE

We offer in our restaurant honest and tasty cuisine throughout the day and week.

Our pantry is reserved for chefs who are keen to create dishes using high-quality ingredients that are connected to the seasons.

Available to Foster tenants as well as the general public, our restaurant allows people to gather around a good table for all occasions.

Reception rooms are also available for hire for private or professional events.

UNIQUE LOCATION

At the E411 Rosières exit, accessible in both directions Brussels-Luxembourg and Luxembourg-Brussels.

Close to major roads, 15 km from the Brussels Ring Road, linking the E42 and E40 easily.

Less than 10 minutes from urban and industrial areas of Wavre, Nivelles and Louvain-la-Neuve.

NATURAL NEST

Foster’s farm where the workshops are held is surrounded by nature: meadows, cultures, woods, ponds, and gardens.

Undoubtedly, Foster offers a particularly nice work environment for artisans.

Artisans benefit from an ideal spot to showcase their skills to partners and consumers.

SUSTAINABILITY

Foster is one of the first buildings in Wallonia to be virtually energy self-sufficient.

You can find a park of photovoltaic panels, small wind turbines and storage batteries behind the farm to power the various areas.

Besides, Foster has natural drinking water and a water recycling system.
