Conference
C'est qui le patron ?
“C'est Qui Le Patron ?” and Foster:
... from words to actions for sustainable Belgian agriculture
The tone of the 2nd conference organised by Foster is set from the outset. To discuss the challenges of sustainable agriculture in Belgium, we are pleased to welcome Vincent Mefflet, founder of the initiative in Belgium: "C'est Qui le Patron?! Wie Is de Baas?!"
Did a virus like COVID really have to make us aware of the importance of those who cultivate the land that feeds our families? For some, yes. For others, including Vincent Mefflet and Louis du Bois, no!
Beyond the announcements, frustrations, and demands, how do we move from words to actions? This is what you will discover when you join us on 27 June 2024.
A few words about the two protagonists of the evening:
Vincent Mefflet
After an international career within the Orange group, responsible for commercial performance across all B2B subsidiaries, he became an entrepreneur in Belgium. First, he established his management consulting firm FEYDIN, and then he co-founded "CERVO Hospitality" with John Gabriel Martin, actively participating in the inception of the hotel project at Pairi Daiza.
But above all, he becomes a social entrepreneur by taking the helm of the fair trade and 100% Belgian brand "C'est Qui Le Patron ?! / Wie is de baas ?!" four years ago.
Its aim? To preserve, through fair remuneration, a quality family farming accessible to the greatest number. Today, it continues to keep the flame of commitment alive within a community of over 10,000 business owners determined to support our farmers and our processing SMEs in Belgium.

Louis-Guy du Bois
He graduated from Solvay Business School and Maastricht in entrepreneurship.
Founder and manager of the Foster project, he launched in 2024 an ethical and sustainable ecosystem in Wallonia bringing together farmers, artisans, and entrepreneurs in one single location at the gates of Brussels.
"Putting nature back at the centre of the table... and vice versa!" is the motto of Foster and its founder, Louis du Bois.
In the Foster estate, there are 30 hectares of land intended to welcome farmers and smallholders: an orchard with tall-stemmed trees, a large area of land cultivated using regenerative organic methods, divided into several plots in order to continue agroforestry practices by planting hedges and trees for timber production.
The future fruit of the harvests will supply the growers and the Foster restaurant, the artisan processors, as well as the residents, simple consumers and lovers of gourmet and seasonal flavours.
Join us on Thursday 27/06/24 for an evening of exchanges and meetings in a unique and inspiring setting!
